This is only the second time the College GameDay has visited a Mid-American Conference school, the first coming in 2003 when Bowling Green State University defeated Northern Illinois University. Western Michigan will be the 68th different university to hold host to the pregame show.
Although Western is 10-0 and Buffalo is 2-8, in the past three weeks, the home team that hosts College Gameday has lost. Northern Illinois leading receiver on the day was none other than WMU head coach P.J. Fleck. Only the No. 1 ranked University of Alabama is also undefeated.
