CJ Richmond Claims Second MAC Player of the Week Award

CLEVELAND – For the second time this season, Western Michigan designated hitter has been named the MAC Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. It marks the third consecutive week a Bronco has taken home the honor.

Richmond had multiple hits in all three games of Western Michigan's series at CMU, leading the way with a .462 average (6-for-13), three extra-base hits and six RBIs to help the Brown and Gold secure the No. 2 seed in the MAC Tournament.

After going 2-for-4 in the series-opening victory on Thursday, Richmond launched a two-run homer and added a two-run double as a part of WMU's five-run ninth to tie the game on Friday.
