TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – In its biggest race of the season so far, the Western Michigan cross country team earned a 16th place finish in the 6k White Race of the Pre-National Invitational, hosted by Indiana State at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course.

As a team, the Broncos finished a team score of 366 while Oregon (114), Wake Forest (131) and Nevada (166) rounded out the top-three. Annemarie Schwanz of Fresno State won the race with a time of 20:48.5.
"We had some solid performances despite the fact that as a group our start was not where we wanted to be," associate head coach Taryn Sheehan said.
