GREENSBORO, N.C. – Western Michigan senior catcher Connor Charping has been named to the 2022 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Midwest All-Region Second Team.
The first Bronco to earn All-Region honors since Tanner Allison in 2017, Charping was named to the All-MAC First Team for the second consecutive year last month after an outstanding senior campaign. The backstop started 53 contests and led the Broncos in batting average (.348), hits (72), runs scored (57) and stolen bases (26). The 57 runs scored were third-most in the MAC and tied for third-most in a single season in WMU history, while the 26 steals led the league, rank 36th nationally, and were the fifth-most in a season in program history.
