TORONTO -- Toronto FC announced Wednesday afternoon that the club has signed Western Michigan alumni forward to a MLS short-term agreement for Wednesday's MLS regular season match against Nashville SC. The match will take place today at 8:30 PM and will be streamed on Apple TV+.
Per MLS rules, the short-term agreement allows clubs to sign players on loan from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate for MLS, U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions League, Canadian Championship, Leagues Cup, and exhibition matches.
Sharp was drafted by Toronto FC in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft 61st overall. In four games played (two starts) in the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season, Sharp leads Toronto FC II in the scoring department with three goals in only 183 minutes played.
