Champion, Wilcoxson and Watkins Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Western Michigan golf's Julia Champion, Anna Wilcoxson and Kaitlyn Watkins have earned Women's Golf Coaches Association Collegiate Golf All-American Scholars for the 2015-16 season.

The WGCA All-American Scholar Team has some of the most stringent criteria in all of college athletics, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 required. Watkins, junior, boasted the highest cumulative GPA of the group at 3.91, majoring in accountancy. Fellow junior Wilcoxson had a 3.64 in exercise science, while the sophomore Champion boasts a 3.87 in criminal justice.

Both Champion and Watkins were also recently named Mid-American Conference Scholar Athletes, in addition to Academic All-MAC honorees.
