HAMILTON, Ontario - Two Western Michigan golfers claimed tournament wins as Julia Champion won the Golf Ontario Women's Champion of Champions at Beverly Golf & Country Club and Anna Wilcoxson won the Amateur Pre-Qualifier competition for the LPGA Volvik Championship at Leslie Park Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Champion shot a 73 (+3) to claim the title. She credited her ball striking and short game in an interview with Golf Ontario.
"Today my ball striking was the best that it has probably been in a while. My short game was great too, it saved me a couple of times.
