Broncos Wrap Up First Two Rounds at the Colonel Classic

RICHMOND, K.Y. -- The Western Michigan golf team wrapped up the first two rounds of the Colonel Classic hosted by Eastern Kentucky at University Club Golf Course at Arlington on Monday evening.

The Broncos shot an opening round of 312 and finished up with an improvement of 309 for the second round, currenting sitting at 621 (+45) overall. WMU is 13th out of 14 teams heading into Tuesday's final round. The hosts, EKU, lead with a 587 (+2), with Cincinnati in second place at 589 (+13).

"I thought we hung in there for our first 36-hole round of the year," said first-year head coach Kim Moore.
