CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Western Michigan softball team began its three-day stint at the Clearwater Spring Break Invitational on Friday, March 6, falling to Robert Morris 4-3 and UT-Chattanooga by a 3-1 margin.
The Broncos lost a close battle to Robert Morris University to kick off the tournament. Western Michigan took a 1-0 lead in the first inning off an RBI single to center field from Samantha Coffel to score Kaylen Glenfield, on base from a hit to right field. The Broncos extended their advantage in the bottom of the second.
