TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Western Michigan women's basketball (5-2) team picked up a big victory in hostile territory on Saturday evening against the Sycamores of Indiana State (3-5) by a final score of 68-67. The win is the fourth straight for WMU, and second straight on the road.
A very well-timed 9-0 run in the fourth quarter helped propel the Broncos to victory. WMU won the first three quarters of play, and at one point held a nine-point lead late in the fourth. However, ISU had a late run of their own and cut the Western Michigan lead to just one with just 41 seconds remaining.
