KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's basketball team opens the season with an exhibition matchup against Goshen College (1-0) on Halloween. Sunday's tip-off is schedule for 1 p.m.
SCOUTING THE MAPLE LEAFS
While the 2021-22 regular season has not yet begun for NCAA member schools, NAIA play has gotten underway. Goshen had a matchup with Andrews this past Wednesday, where the Maple Leafs dominated, scoring an even 100 points. This marked the first time Goshen has scored 100+ points since 2000.
Freshman guard Emme Boots lead the way for Goshen, putting up a team-high 13 points on 6-12 shooting, while also adding four rebounds to her team's cause.
