YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Western Michigan golf team wrapped up the 2022 Shirley Spork EMU Invitational on Tuesday, tying for fifth place, at Eagle Crest Golf Club.
The Broncos combined to shoot a 311 on the day and finish with a 931 (+67) for the tournament, tying with Loyola. WMU finished just 11 strokes out of second place. Central Michigan won the tournament with a 902 (+38).
Freshman Megha Vallabhaneni paced the Broncos for the first time this season, finishing with a 54-hole total of 232 (+16). Vallabhaneni was just three strokes shy of a top-10 finish after shooting a final round of 75, moving up 16 total places during the final round.
