BRADENTON, Fla. -- After falling to Florida Golf Coast University and defeating in-state rivals Oakland, the Western Michigan golf team took seventh place at the Mid-American Match Play Challenge at Royal Lakes Golf Course on Tuesday.
Against the Eagles the Broncos fell 3-1-1 in the morning round. WMU rebounded in the afternoon against Oakland, going 4-1.
"The morning didn't go as we had hoped it would, but we ended up bouncing back with a win so we will take leaving on a good note," said head coach Stacy Snider. "I think everyone knows what they need to work on to improve before we go out to Arizona in a couple of weeks.
