KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team defeated Wright State University 5-2 Sunday morning at West Hills Athletic Club. With the win, the Broncos improve to 6-1 on their home court.
WMU dropped the doubles point as the Raiders picked up wins on courts one and two. The Brown & Gold responded in singles play taking all six singles matches from Wright state to pull away with the victory.
Up 3-1 after a win at the No. 1 spot from senior co-captain Melina Lyubomirova, the Broncos clinched the match at court six with a 6-2, 7-5 victory from Gabriela Slavova.
