KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan football team defeated Northern Illinois 28-21 at Waldo Stadium on Tuesday night, earning its senior class their seventh win of the season to cement its bowl eligibility.
Senior running back Jamauri Bogan gave the Broncos (7-5, 5-3 MAC) with a one-yard touchdown run with 1:36 remaining in the fourth quarter. It was his second rushing touchdown of the game, capping off a 14-play 85-yard drive that ate up 5:56. Harrison Taylor intercepted a pass by Marcus Childers on the next drive to seal the victory, allowing WMU to run out the clock.
