CLEVELAND – On the heels of its upset victory over No. 24 Marquette on Sunday, the Western Michigan volleyball team swept the Mid-American Conference's weekly awards, the league office announced on Monday. Andelyn Simkins was named the Defensive Player of the Week, Keona Salesman took home the Offensive Player of the Week award and Logan Case picked up her second straight Setter of the Week honor.
In WMU's two matchups against ranked opponents over the weekend, Simkins racked up 56 digs (8.00/set) and posted a .976 reception percentage (40-of-41).
