KALAMAZOO, Mich - The Western Michigan women's tennis team suffered a 4-3 defeat against Cleveland State in a non-conference match at the West Hills Athletic Club on Monday. With the loss, the Broncos fall to 1-1 overall for the 2020 dual campaign after winning their season opener versus Oakland on Saturday.
The Vikings took the 1-0 advantage over WMU following two victories in the doubles portion of the contest. Senior Gabriela Slavova and freshman Lindsey Zieglar were leading Sian Payne and Gaby Schoenberg 5-4 at the #3 spot when Cleveland State clinched the doubles point.
