MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - A pair of lopsided games resulted in a Mid-American Conference split for Western Michigan softball at in-state rival Central Michigan Tuesday afternoon, winning 12-5 in game one prior to an 11-3 game two setback.
The split moves the Broncos' record to 10-14 overall and 3-1 in the MAC.
Western Michigan 12, Central Michigan 5
The Broncos totaled double digits in the hits and runs column for the second consecutive game with game one's output, coming off the big game two win at Akron. Led by a strong start with a trio of runs in the first two innings, WMU tallied 14 hits including four doubles and two homers.
