On Tuesday, the Western Michigan softball team traveled to Mt. Pleasant for a double header against conference rival the Central Michigan Chippewas.
The Broncos split the series taking game one 12-5, and were on the receiving end of a dominate performance in the second game by the Chips, falling 11-3. The series puts Western Michigan at 10-14 with about half of the season to play.
WMU's bats were on fire for the entirety of the first game, scoring 12 runs, their biggest offensive performance of the season. Thirteen total Broncos made an appearance in the batter's box and six of them contributed to the scoreboard driving in at least one RBI.
