KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team snapped a four-match losing streak with a 4-3 win over Eastern Michigan outdoors at Sorensen Courts on Friday afternoon.
After going down 1-0 by dropping the doubles point, the Broncos stormed back to win four straight singles matches to go up 4-1 and secure the win. Freshman made quick work of EMU's Julia Piatek at No. 5, winning 6-3, 6-1 to tie the match up at 1-1. Sophomore bumped up to No. 1 on the day and responded with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Isabelle Popma to give the Broncos the lead.
