Broncos Shutout Leathernecks, 2-0

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team picked up its second-straight shutout win after blanking Western Illinois, 2-0, at the WMU Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.

Emma Kahn and Alexis Shamoun each tallied goals on the day, while junior goalkeeper Stephanie Heber made two saves in her third shutout of the season.

Western Michigan (4-1-0) got its break-through goal early in the 13th minute when Kahn took a feed from Alyssa Burke deep in the box and beat WIU's goalkeeper Inas Palmiero Herrera for her first goal of the season.
