KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan track and field team placed several athletes in Saturday's finals after a successful day of qualifying on day two of the 2017 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships at WMU's Kanley Track & Field Complex.
Sophomore Allison Hufnagel was the lone scorer on the day for the Broncos. She took seventh in the heptathlon after a strong finish in the final event, the 800-meter relay. She had been in eight place heading into the 800 but finished in second place in the event after running a time of 2:23.78 and jumped to seventh to score two points.
