YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team earned its first Mid-American Conference win of the season after a 5-2 victory at Eastern Michigan on Friday afternoon.
The Broncos (10-4, 1-1 MAC) started off strong, earning the doubles point after wins at No. 3 and No. 1. Karin Hamilton and Audrey Smitek gave WMU the advantage with a 6-2 win at No. 3 over Andrea Quiroz and Linde Eloundou Nga. The point was secured after Lindsey Ziegler and Valeriya Monko picked up a 6-4 win at No. 1 over Prerna Vichare and Sabrina Brichackova.
