KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan gymnastics team picked up its first Mid-American Conference win of the season after defeating Bowling Green 196.425-194.825 on Sunday afternoon.
The Broncos improved their season-best team score for the third straight meet. Individually, WMU picked up wins on vault, by Payton Murphy, and floor, by Amanda Gruber.
Murphy earned a score of 9.875, tying her career-high, to take the top spot on vault. Halle Faulkner, in her first action this season, took second place with a 9.850. Abby Singh and Sarah Moravansky tied for fourth with 9.
