KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan head coach Tim Lester guided his 2020 squad through its first spring practice Tuesday morning inside the Donald "J" Seelye Athletic Center with a two-hour session.
The Broncos worked out in helmets without pads and focused primarily on position-specific drills during the first day.
Lester, rising redshirt senior offensive guard Mike Caliendo and rising senior linebacker Treshaun Hayward met with the media following the workout. Caliendo was a second team All-Mid-American Conference honoree in 2019 while Hayward was the MAC Defensive Player of the Year.
