MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – The Western Michigan hockey team completed a sweep of Lindenwood by capturing a 6-1 victory over the Lions Saturday afternoon at the Centene Community Ice Center.
Alex Bump and Dylan Wendt provided multi-goal games, while Ethan Phillips and Sam Colangelo each had a goal of their own. Carter Berger and Luke Grainger each tallied three assists.
FIRST PERIOD
Western Michigan had a fast start to the game, scoring in the opening minute. Bump, Berger and Sam Sjolund passed the puck around until Bump eventually ripped a shot by Lions goalie Trent Burnham for a 1-0 lead.
