KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan hockey team completed its regular-season schedule this past weekend, earning a sweep at Miami (OH). The Broncos took care of business on March 3, defeating the RedHawks, 5-0. The following day, WMU was able to erase a 4-2 deficit and come back to win 5-4 in overtime.
WMU moved up one spot to No. 7 in the DCU/USCHO.com poll this week. Western Michigan leaped over fellow NCHC member St. Cloud State. In the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, WMU didn't have any movement, remaining at No. 8. Among the top 10, the NCHC had three teams.
