KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team dropped its first game of the season this afternoon, falling to Wisconsin in a tightly-contested game. Wisconsin edged the Broncos 2-1 and moved to 3-1-2 on the season, while the Broncos' record fell to 3-1-0.
"We knew today was going to be a difficult challenge and Wisconsin would be a quality opponent in all areas, and they definitely were," head coach Lewis Robinson said. "I felt we gave a good showing for the majority of the game and made it difficult for them. We didn't really click as much in the goal boxes as we would like to in order to convert our chances, but overall there are a lot of positives we can take from the game and keep improving.
