INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Western Michigan Baseball team’s offense came alive late, but it was too late to erase an early deficit as the Broncos fell to Butler 7-3 Sunday afternoon at the Bulldogs home field.

The Broncos fall to 7-14 overall but have still won six of the past eight after going 2-2 over the weekend.

Butler jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, scoring both runs with the help of a Bronco error. The Bulldogs started the inning with a walk and a hit batsman and also had a single.
