KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan volleyball team earned its first Mid-American Conference (MAC) victory of the season as the Broncos dominated Toledo in three straight sets Friday night at University Arena, the first sweep by WMU since Aug. 27 vs. Seton Hall.
The Broncos (6-12, 1-4 MAC) topped the Rockets (10-7, 3-2 MAC) 25-16 in the first set, using a 6-0 run to extend an early lead to 19-8 and eventually finishing the Rockets off. Senior middle blocker Nicole Kinser led the way in the first set with six kills on 11 attacks.
