Western Michigan men's basketball team gave No. 5 Michigan a run for their money, losing to the undefeated Big Ten opponent 70-62. The eight point difference was the second lowest margin of victory for Michigan on the season.
"It was a hard fought game, I'm really proud of our guys effort, there's certainly no moral victories involved when coming into here and trying to compete against a heck of a basketball team in Michigan, and we did," Western Michigan head coach Steve Hawkins said.
For the Broncos, sophomore guard Michael Flowers earned another new career-high with 31 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
