KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- With the college hockey season now complete, the Western Michigan hockey team was able to maintain its spot as one of the top team's in the nation.
The DCU/USCHO.com poll had the Broncos at No. 11, while the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll put WMU at No. 12. The Broncos have been a mainstay in the national poll, spending the last 52 weeks as a top-20 team.
Western Michigan is coming off of one of its best seasons in program history. WMU collected its highest NCHC finish in program history, earning second place with 15 NCHC victories and 44 points.
