PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Western Michigan baseball saw its five-game win streak come to an end on Wednesday as the Broncos fell to Georgetown, 9-5 at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla.
The Broncos who had won six of their last seven games, tallied 10 hits on the day while scoring five runs. Junior Nate Grys went 3-for-5 and collected his first triple of the season on a ball to deep right center field.
Grys blasted his Mid-American Conference leading seventh double of the season off the left field fence as heavy winds kept the ball in the ballpark.
