KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's basketball team suffered a 73-40 loss against Buffalo at University Arena on Wednesday afternoon.
The Broncos (8-11, 5-4 MAC) were held to just 28 percent (15-of-54) on the day, while the Bulls shot 55 percent (31-of-54). had a career-high 11 points off the bench to lead WMU, while UB's Chellia Watson led all scorers with 22 points. Carrier also head a team-high six rebounds. had 10 points, three assists and four steals.
Buffalo opened the game on a 10-4 run, but WMU cut the lead to 14-10 to end the quarter after four points from Carrier and a buzzer-beater by Maria Asensio.
