KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's basketball's comeback fell short against Bowling Green on Wednesday night, falling to the Falcons 70-63 at University Arena.
WMU (10-14, 6-7 MAC) was down by 10 heading into the fourth quarter and cut the lead down to five after Alli Harness split a pair of free throws to make it 62-57 Falcons with 3:37 to play. Both teams were scoreless over the next two minutes until BGSU's Lexi Fleming split a pair of free throws to extend the lead to 63-57. Johnea Donahue made two more free throws to push the lead to eight before Marina Asensio cut it back to six with 50 seconds remaining.
