OMAHA, Neb. – The 14th-ranked Western Michigan hockey team fell to Omaha in a tight 3-1 contest on the road at Baxter Arena on Saturday night.
Omaha scored the first three goals to put the Broncos in an early hole. The first came at 2:04 in the first period on a redirect by Jake Pivonka. Jack Randl scored just 46 seconds into the second period to push the lead to 2-0, before Nolan Sullivan scored at 8:45.
