SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team fell for the first time this season, dropping a hard-fought match at Notre Dame, 4-3, on Friday.
The Broncos opened strong to earn the doubles point with wins by Anton Arzhankin and Arjun Honnappa and the team of Brogan Pierce and Benjamin George. Arzahnkin and Honnappa won at No. 2 over Matthew Che and Yu Zhang, 6-4, before Notre Dame tied it up with a win at No. 1. The doubles point came down to three with Pierce and George winning 7-6 over Matthew Haplin and Evan Lee.
