MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 2-0 at Central Michigan on Thursday afternoon.
Maggie Rogers made seven saves on the day but the Broncos (2-1-1) were outshot 19-9 overall and 11-0 in the first half.
The teams battled to a 0-0 tie after the first 45 minutes but CMU scored early in the second half in the 49th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Amanda Britain chipped a shot from the edge of the box over Rogers and into the net.
