YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's basketball team dropped a wild 70-66 double-overtime game to Mid-American Conference (MAC) West rival Eastern Michigan Saturday afternoon with the game coming down to the final seconds.
The Broncos fall to 13-10 overall and 5-6 in the MAC while the Eagles improve to 14-8 and 5-6 in the MAC while snapping a short three-game losing streak. This was the first overtime game for WMU since an 86-75 overtime win over Detroit on Jan. 22, 2014.
Junior Meredith Shipman hit a deep contested 3-pointer as the time expired to send it to the first overtime.
