KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The 17th-ranked Western Michigan hockey team blanked No. 13/12 Notre Dame, 4-0, at Lawson Ice Arena on Saturday night.
Defensemen Cedric Fiedler and Zak Galambos both netted two goals, while junior Cameron Rowe was stellar in net. Rowe stopped all 22 of Notre Dame's shots to earn his first shutout as a Bronco. Tim Washe had two assists, while Galambos also had a helper for a three-point night. WMU (5-2-0) outshot the Fighting Irish 38-22 and held them scoreless on four power play attempts.
