DENVER -- Western Michigan scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of the third period to force overtime and then Taylor Fleming scored the game-winning goal in 3-on-3 double-overtime for the Broncos to earn two points after defeating Denver, 3-2, at Magness Arena on Saturday night.
Lukas Hafner had a career-high 49 saves as Colt Conrad and Frederik Tiffels tallied goals in regulation to force overtime.
Denver's Matt Marcinew put the Pioneers up 2-0 at 9:43 in the third period with their second power play goal of the night.
