ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team earned its second road win of the season after a 1-0 victory at Oakland on Friday evening.
Junior center back Maria Jaramillo netted the game's lone goal, while the Broncos (3-1-0) held Oakland to just three total shots. Junior goalkeeper needed to make just one save on the night to earn her third shutout of the season.
"I am very happy with how the team performed tonight," said head coach Lauren Sinacola. "Oakland was very organized defensively and made it difficult on us to break them down in the final third.
