Broncos Battle Detroit Tigers Top Prospects Team While in Florida; Tigers win 7-1

LAKELAND, Fla. – In one of the team’s most anticipated games of the season, Western Michigan baseball faced the Detroit Tigers Top Prospects team and lost 7-1 at Joker Marchant Stadium, home of high-A class Lakeland Flying Tigers and the spring training facilities of the Detroit Tigers.

“I would first like to thank Dan Lunetta for making this game possible,” head coach Billy Gernon said. “It is such a privilege for our program. The game serves as a helpful reminder that baseball is supposed to be fun and best played when you are relaxed.
