COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – An early third-period goal by Hugh McGing helped the sixth-ranked Western Michigan hockey team tie Colorado College, 3-3, at Broadmoor World Arena on Friday night.
Alex Beradinelli scored a goal with 0.3 seconds left in the three-on-three overtime period to earn the extra point for the Tigers.
In addition to McGing, Sheldon Dries and Griffen Molinio both tallied goals on the night. Ben Blacker made 37 saves on the night. Colt Conrad had two assists on the night as well.
Colorado College took an early 1-0 lead on a power play goal scored during a 5-on-3 advantage at 9:03 in the first period.
