KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team opened Mid-American Conference play with a 3-3 tie against Kent State at the WMU Soccer Complex on Saturday morning.
The game was rescheduled for Saturday morning due to weather issues on Friday.
WMU picked up two goals from Morgan Otteson and one from Bailey Korhhorn. The Broncos were outshot 19-14 overall, with an 11-8 advantage in shots on goal. Junior goalie Maggie Rogers made eight saves.
The Broncos jumped out to a very early lead with two goals in the first four minutes of the game.
