ATHENS, Ohio- Freshman Jordan Kurth threw a complete-game shutout to lead Western Michigan to a 3-0 victory in game one and the Broncos fell in a close 2-1 contest in game two, splitting a doubleheader at Ohio Saturday.
Kurth allowed just two hits hurling her third career complete game. She started off the game sitting down the Bobcats in order in the first inning. The first hit she allowed was a two-out single in the third. Kurth went on to retire the side in the fourth and fifth before being touched for a single in the bottom of the sixth.
