ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- The Western Michigan hockey team's season came to an end after a 4-2 loss at No. 5 St. Cloud State in the second game of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Quarterfinals at the Herb Brooks National Hockey center on Saturday night.
WMU picked up goals from Colt Conrad and Chris Dienes, while Lukas Hafner made 40 saves in his final game in the Brown & Gold.
Western Michigan took a 1-0 lead at 11:31 in the first period. After a big save by Hafner the Broncos started a breakout down the ice.
