In the famous words of Hank Williams, Jr., “Are you ready for some football?”
The Western Michigan Broncos football team certainly is.
On Thursday, August 2, the team opened up their fall training camp for the 2018 season. The two-and-a-half hour practice did not feature pads, just helmets, shorts and t-shirts. Head coach Tim Lester said that padded practice would start on Saturday.
The start of camp also featured the returns of notable players that had their 2017 seasons cut short by injury, including junior quarterback Jon Wassink and senior running back Jamauri Bogan. Wassink was excited to be back after a broken collarbone sidelined him for the final four games of the season.
