CLEVELAND – Western Michigan sophomore midfielder Brennan Creek has been named Mid-American Conference Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for his performance in WMU's win and tie against Akron.
Creek was crucial to WMU's success over the final week of the regular season. In Wednesday's midfield he helped stifle Akron's attack leading to the team's third shutout on the season. Creek assisted on WMU's third goal, giving the Broncos a 3-0 lead, and then scored the game-winner in Sunday's historic 4-3 victory over the Zips. His goal came in the second half after Akron had cut the Broncos' lead to 3-2.
