KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The NCAA, the Football Bowl Association and the Division I football conferences are scheduled to announce all placements for post-season play Sunday, Dec. 2.
Announcements begin with the College Football Playoff semifinalists, followed by New Year's Six teams and the remainder of the bowl field. ESPN will provide live coverage from 12-4 p.m.
Western Michigan is coming off a 28-21 victory over Northern Illinois on Nov. 20 and concluded the regular season with a 7-5 overall, 5-3 Mid-American Conference record. The Broncos are bowl eligible for a program record fifth-straight season.
WMU has appeared in eight bowl games in school history - 1961 Aviation Bowl, 1988 California Bowl, 2007 International Bowl, 2008 Texas Bowl, 2011 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, 2014 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, 2015 Popeye's Bahamas Bowl and the 2017 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
